Excavation braced by cantilever double-row piles is simulated by ABAQUS.Duncan-Chang constitutive model is used for the soil and the tangential module is settled to increase with the depth.Horizontal displacement of the pile and the earth pressure are studied. The influences of pile spacing, pile length, beam height, the reinforcement of the passive area and the soils between the piles on the piles behavior are analyzed. The results show that reinforcing the passive area has an obvious effect on decreasing displacement, while the pile length and beam height have little effect. Results are also compared when the piles are simulated by plane strain element and beam element in order to study the effect of the surface contact calculation.
