N-type concrete masonry is a new type of small-size concrete block masonry by improving the block shape to realize fully aligned web-shells.And,N-type masonry could be built with straight joint.Based on 6 half-grouted specimens,the compressive behaviors of N-type masonry were investigated.Test results showed that the average compressive strength of half-grouted N-type masonry was about 30% higher than that of the common concrete masonry.The main reason for the strength rising was the full-alignment of web-shells in N-type concrete masonry prisms.And a formula of average compressive strength of half-grouted N-type masonry was given,whose result agreed well with the result of test.
