A prestressed system of space steel structure was used for the gymnasium in Northeast Normal University. It was further demonstrated the successful use of this technology to the project from the prestressing construction simulation and its construction. It was also put forward that the corresponding prestressing construction technology and the features according to the special nature of the structure. The use of this technology was popularized,which provided a basis for its use to other similar projects.
