FRACTURE ANALYSIS OF THE INTERFACE BETWEEN STEEL AND FRP PLATE FOR THE STEEL BEAMS REINFORCED WITH FRP PLATE

  • Fatigue experimental results indicate that the fatigue life of steel structures reinforced with FRP is obviously increased as compared to steel members un-repaired,but the interface at the end of FRP often delaminates between FRP and steel beams.Analysis and simplified analysis models,finite element method are applied to calculate the energy release rate based on the fracture mechanics method,and the measures to prevent the interface from delaminating are put forward.
