Numerical analysis was executed to study the in-plane stability capacity of extruded aluminium alloy beam-columns of single symmetric sections,and a modified coefficient _2 in the interaction expression was calculated by parameter analysis.Based on above analysis,_2 was proposed to be 1.15 for weak hardening alloy and 1.25 for strong hardening alloy,which have been verified by comparison with numerical calculation results.
