COMPARISON BETWEEN THE UH MODEL BASED ON THE LINEAR RELATIONS OF lnv-lnp AND v-lnp

  • The original unified hardening model(UH model) is established based on the linear relation of v-lnp under isotropic consolidation.As the linear relation of v-lnp has some theoretical shortcomings,a modified UH model is deduced based on the linear relation of lnv-lnp proposed by Hashiguchi et al,which is proved to be more reasonable for soils.The predicted results of the two models are compared.They are very similar.The disadvantages of the original model cause little error under common conditions only.
