To promote the practicing of steel tube and steel-reinforced concrete composite member in the projects, the flexural bearing capacity of H-shaped section and cross steel section is discussed in this article, and limit balance method is used to calculate its bending capacity. Moreover, the accuracy of the formula has been verified. For benefiting to its application in the projects, setting out from economy,it is compared the flexural bearing capacity between two sections. From this,it has been found out that the H-shaped steel section has strong flexural bearing capacity in the same amount of steel. It's offering a theoretic basis to the design.
