EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON BOND PROPERTIES OF GFRP BARS TO CEMENT MORTAR

  • Based on the pullout bond tests for the GFRP bars embedded in cement mortar,the influence of the GFRP diameter,the cement mortar strength and the bond length on the bond properties of GFRP bars to cement mortar is studied.The experimental results illustrate that the average bond strength increases with the increase in bond length or the cement mortar strength,while it decreases with the increase in diameter of GFRP bar.In addition,the shear rigidity increases with the increase in diameter of GFRP bar or the cement mortar strength,while it decreases with the bond length.
