INTRODUCTION TO THE MAIN CONTENTS OF STRUCTURAL FIRE DESIGN IN EUROCODE OF DESIGN OF CONCRETE STRUCTURES(Ⅰ)——EFFECTS OF ACTIONS AND DESIGN RESISTANCE IN THE FIRE SITUATION, MATERIAL PROPERTIES AND FIRE DESIGN METHOD BASED ON TABULATED DATA
Eurocode 2 is code for the design of concrete structures, and its part 112 is the only design guideline for fire resistance on reinforced concrete (RC) and prestressed concrete(PC) structures in Europe. There are 6 sections within the EC2-1-2, including General, Basic principles, Material properties, Structural fire design, Protective layers and Annexes. The contents of effects of actions design resistance in the fire situation, reduction of material properties subjected to fire and fire design method based on tabulated data are briefly introduced. The issues that to be further done are also presented. It can be served as reference for RC and PC structural fire design and for revising relevant standards in China.
