EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF POLYPROPYLENE FIBER REINFORCED CEMENT STABILIZED MACADAM

  • Based on plenty of experimental studies, the effect of curing period of specimens, volume content of polypropylene fiber and cement content on compressive strength of cement stabilized macadam is analyzed. The study results indicate that the addition of polypropylene fiber has certain reinforcement to the compressive strength of cement stabilized macadam. The compressive strength is increasing with the increase of curing period. Within the range of the fiber content that is less than 1j in this study, there is a tendency of increase in compressive strength and tensile strength with the increase of polypropylene fiber volume content. With the increase of cement content, the compressive strength of cement stabilized macadam is increasing in linearity.
