The form-finding analysis of the basketball gymnasium combined-roof membrane structure for SIAS International College of Zhengzhou University is conducted by ANSYS. The membrane shape which meets the shape of initial architectural design is determined and the stress in the membrane is evenly distributed. With the form-finding analysis of this close combined-roof membrane structure, the problems in the form-finding processes such as division of element, boundary condition treatments and value adoption of elastic modulus is approached which improves the form-finding efficiency. At last, the coordinated form-finding analysis between cable membrane and steel truss support system is studied, which puts forward the necessity of coordinated form-finding analysis.
