The free thermal expansion strain (FTES) is a very important one among deformation components of concrete under high temperature. There are marked differences among these FTESes of concrete with different strength grades when exposed to different raising temperature rates.Based on experimental results, the influence of different raising temperature rates on the FTES of concrete with different strength grades is analyzed in this paper and the corresponding calculation formulas are also given. They can be contributed to rationally establish a constitutive relationship of concrete under high temperature and accurately calculate mechanical behaviors of concrete when exposed to fire.
