STUDY ON BEARING MECHANISMS OF RECYCLED AGGREGATE CONCRETE-FILLED STEEL TUBULAR MEMBERS

  • Based on the constitutivemodels of steel and core recycled aggregate concrete (RAC), the failure modes and the load versus deformation complete curves of recycled aggregate concrete filled steel tubular (RACFST) stub columns, beams and beam- columns were calculated using finite element analysis (FEA) method.The analytical results reveal the rules of stress distribution in steel and RAC cross-section, and the interaction between the steel tube and core RAC under loading procedure.The results in this paper deeply demonstrate the working mechanisms of RACFST members subjected to static loads.
