The health monitoring system for overbridge of a steelworks is designed and implemented by employing the design method proposed by authors.Firstly, the monitoring item of the health monitoring is determined.Then the type, location and performance of the sensors, the data acquisition module are studied and implemented.The system has been running and collecting data since the overbridge works.The monitoring results indicate the performance of sy stem has reached the designed objectives.
