composite ground can be widely used in the improvement of soft foundation, but the mechanism is incomplete, the distribution of frictional resistance should be researched in detail.Based on vertical displacements equality between pile and surrounding soil in the composite foundation, the distributions of frictional resistance and ax ial force are derived with Mindlin.s solution of displacement, and the formuls of maximum frictional resistance and its depth are also obtained.The formula of effective length of pile is g iven by means of simplifying distribution of frictional resistance.
