It is proposed an integral model to analyze the seismic response of a large-scale thermal power plant s main building with frame-bent in the transverse direction and frame-shear wall in the longitudinal direction under three certain seismic waves. The following subjects are concerned: the space model, the dynamic properties, the layer displacement, the interlayer deformation and layer shear, and compared the calculation result of the plant model with space model. The spatial effect ratio and adjusting coefficient of space structure were suggested, and the spatial effect was very obvious.Designing of the eccentric and irregular space structure was not safety without considering of the spatial effect of torsion on the structure. The valuable and theoretical achievements have been yielded.
