Cable -truss -supported glass curtainwalls are a new type of structures, widely used in large public constructions.Researches have been mainly focused on wind resisting of those structures, while the researches on seismism resisting arelittle. The method for constructing nonlinear single degree of freedom (SDOF) was proposed. The nonlinear accelerationspectra were calculated under given conditions and different seismic intensities through time -history analysis method usingmany severest ground motion records. The acceleration response spectrums, average acceleration response spectra andstatistic smoothing design aseismic response spectra were presented. Through an illustration, the resultsof nonlinear responsespectrum method are closed to those of time -history method.
