A new hyperboloid metal roof system is used for the gymnasium in Beijing Institute of Technology. The systemhas been largely improved in aspects as antisepsis, enduarance, weatherproofing, waterproofing, ant-i infiltration, drainage,fireproofing, temperature distortion, lightningproofing, heat preservation, sound absorption and insulation, shock absorption,etc as compared to the former roof; which can insure the quality of metal roof system of this project.
