RESEARCH OF SEISMIC ENERGY DISSIPATION METHOD FOR LONG-SPAN SPACE TRUSS STRUCTURES

  • Based on the structure property of space truss,it is suggested to use vibration energy dissipation method for reducing earthquake response.The detailed precept includes the following two different ways: using fluid viscous damper as additional elements or using viscoelastic damper to replace the elements.In a case of a pyramid space truss model seismic response is compared before and after seismic mitigation.Calculation results show the methods mentioned above are effective.Furthermore the influence of change in damper locations on the vibration reduction is investigated.
