Using the software of ANSYS, it was carried out nonlinear finite element analysis upon the basic behavior of high-strength concrete shear wall subjected to monodirectional lateral load. Considering the characteristic of high?strengthconcrete, the effect of concrete' s craze and the stress-softening after the concrete crushing, the problem of falling branchwas solved comparatively well with displacement-controlled manner. Analytical load -displacement curves were found in agood agreement with the test results. Focused on factorswhich influence basic behavior such as concrete grades, the ratio ofboundary longitudinal reinforcement to boundary element, the volumetric ratio of transverse reinforcement at the boundaryelement, the ratio of web vertical reinforcement, the ratio of web horizontal reinforcement and axial load ratio, it was alsodiscussed their changing rules, and brought forward some suggestions to guarantee the basic behavior of high?strengthconcrete shear wall.
