EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON CYCLIC PERFORMANCE OF CFST COLUMN-RC BEAM JOINTS ENCLOSED BY REBARS

  • Tests on eight concrete filled steel tubular(CFST) column-reinforced concrete (RC) beam joints enclosed by rebars under reversed loading were carried out.The failure patterns,hysteretic characteristics,shear transformation,rebar and steel bracket deformations,ductility and energy dissipation under different axial load levels for joints with circular or square columns are discussed in details.The results indicated that all the joints failed in shear failure pattern.Generally,the hysteretic curves for joints with circular columns were plumper than those with square columns,and the seismic performance of all joints can satisfy current Chinese seismic code requirements.
