By considering the effect of initial imperfection,ABAQUS software is used to perform nonlinear finite element analysis of behaviour of square concrete-filled thin-walled steel tubes under axial compression.The calculated load-deformation curves are in good agreement with those of tests.The effects of imperfection under different conditions on the behaviour of thin-walled composite columns are analyzed.
