A total of five specimens were tested under pure bending to investigate the behavior of concrete filled double-skin steel tubular(CFDST) beams. The specimens were fabricated with circular hollow section(CHS) as outer and inner skins. The parameters varied in the tests were hollow section ratio.Utilizing the stress-strain relations of steel and concrete presented in concrete filled circular steel tubes,a numerical method is used for the analysis of load-deformation curves of the double-skin composite members subjected to pure bending. The calculated results agree well with those of tests.A simplified model is also developed for calculating the bearing capacities of the CFDST beams.
