The storey-adding and reinforcement design method were discussed through the reconstructing of a building. Various methods were explored to deal with the deficiency of the colomncs strength. The critical factor was found out from comparing the adding shear ing wall, sticking steel plate and other methods. The reinforcement method and thought for this project were significative for the similar engineerings.
