THEORY AND TEST INVESTIGATION OF BEARING CAPACITY OF CONCRETE FILLED STEEL TUBE UNDER ECCENTRIC COMPRESSION

  • It was conducted the test of 16 concrete filled steel tubes (CFST) with different steel ratio under eccentric compression. The load-deformation curves and the ultimate loads of the samples were obtained. The formula of bearing capacity for CFST was also given based on twin shear unified strength theory. Good agreement was found between the experimental and the analytical values of the bearing capacity.
