Abstract
The experimental results of 5 full scale overlapped CHS K-joints subjected to axial load are compared with those of finite element models.Using the finite-element study as a platform,it is studied that the effect of faying rate on the failure mode and ultimate bearing capacity of the overlapped K-joints.Difference of mechanics capability between parallel K-joints and planar K-joints is also discussed.Finally,some useful conclusions are got.
