The effect of cutting radius on steel reduced web connection is analyzed considering both the moment and shearing force.The result got from theory analysis is confirmed right through non-linear finite element analysis and the theory is believed effective to estimate the moment resisting ability of steel beam section. Then the influence between the distance from column and cutting radius are analyzed.It is instructive for designing such reduced web connection.
