BOND BEHAVIOR AND ULTIMATE BEARING CAPACITY OF STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE SHORT COLUMNS

  • Based on the experimental results of 16 steel reinforced concrete(SRC) short-columns,bond behavior between shaped steel and concrete is analyzed.It is also explored that the effects of concrete strength,the thickness of concrete cover,and the ratio of lateral stirrup on the bond behavior and ultimate bearing capacity of the short column subjected axial loads.Finite element model is set-up to further study bond-slip behavior between shaped steel and concrete,which would be a reference to calculate bond strength and ultimate bearing capacity of SRC columns subjected axial loads.
