The paper gives out the condition of yielding first for the tension steel bar in the balanced failure of SRC column. The limit value formulae of axial compression ratio for SRC column are derived including to bend around strong axis and weak axis of H- shaped steel section. Based on these formulae, the paper puts forward the limit value formula of ax ial compression ratio of the cross steel section.
