A new structural system that can release the non-neglectable temperature stress due to temperature changes in long-span spatial grid structure was put forward according to the structural characteristics of Tianjin Museum.The principle of bearing different loads was analyzed.The joint type that can be used for this structural system was studied.The realization and application of the respirable steel structure in Tianjin Museum were summarized.
