The nonlinear finite element analysis of 1∶10 reinforced concrete wall of a chimney foundation model is carried out.Comparison between the analytic strain and the experimental strain shows that the analytic model and parameters are reasonable.A changing law of the stress-strain during cracking of the foundation wall is obtained, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of the chimney foundation.
