It was conducted the study of the mechanical behavior of continuous web plate joint of steel beam to CFST column.Firstly, four 1∶3 scale joints were tested by using static test method, and it was gained that the transmutation state of connection areas, the load-beam end deflection curve and the moment-rotation(M-) curve.Secondly, a finite element study on the joint was made by using ANSYS.To verify the accuracy of the analytical models, results were compared to the previous test data.In addition, it was also analyzed the effects of the sections of beam and column, the proportion of rigidity per unit length of beam to column, the pulldown ratio on the stiffness of joint.Finally, the applicability of this type of joint was explored, and some advice of improving its structure was brought forward.
