  • The parameters expressing the non-rigid properties of unstiffened circular hollow-section joints are analysed.Based on the explanation of the mechanism of effects which are controlled by those parameters, parametric models for computation formulae are introduced.It is compared that current parametric equations found from different codes or specifications with test data extracted from international test database of unstiffened tubular joints.By statistical analysis, parametric formulae of joints, both bending rigidity and ultimate bending capacity with most accuracy and applicability, are identified.
