EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF STRENGTHENING DAMAGED WOOD BEAMS WITH CFRP

  • A method to simulate the damage of wood beams was proposed.Based on the tests of 8 beams,failure characteristics and their effects on the ultimate bearing capacity,stiffness and ductility of damaged beams strengthened with externally bonded with carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) were researched and analyzed.The research results are helpful for the practical design.
