It is described a laboratory investigation on the resistance to freezing and thawing of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC).Comparing with the natural aggregate concrete (NAC) in the weight loss,the dynamic modulus of elasticity decrease and the strength,it is found that RAC is as durable as NAC.Especially,the durability of RAC by the design method of increasing cement paste is the most durable among the three kinds,even more durable than NAC.According to the result of the experiment,the strength reduction is used as the criterion of the freeze-thaw durability of RAC,besides the weight-loss and the decrease of dynamic modulus of elasticity.
