Based on the summarization of all kinds of sustaining structures of glass roof,some modifications of the beam string structures(BSS)were made.A new type of beam string structure was presented.This new type has reasonable structural behaviors,in addition to fewer bars and more beautiful configuration.Through analyzing,some useful data were got.These data reflected the structure performance under the changes in special height -span ratio and the height of pivot.The behavior of new type of BSS and normal BSS is compared.Last,a new type of space BSS was presented.
