ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH OF TENSILE RESISTANCE FOR LOAD-CARRYING PLATE OF DX PILE

  • The resistance of tension DX pile consists of the frictional resistance of pile shaft and the resistance of loadcarryingplate. In comparison with the frictional resistance in tension pile, the latter is studied very little both in theory and inexperiment. Several calculation methods of tension resistance of the plate are proposed or identified. The compressive endresistance and tensile resistances of the plate are compared with each other. A few experimental results are analyzed on thebasis of the above calculations. It is found that the failure mode and the resistance of the plate of tension DX pile are relatedwith soil property, the size and depth of the plate. Generally, tensile resistance of the plate is less than compressive oneconsiderably, and the reduction factor is about 0.3~ 0.4.
