Experimental study on the mechanical properties of 75 corroded rebars I and II in marine concrete is carried out.It is discussed the relationship between yielding strength, ultimate strength, ultimate elongation rate, failure type stress-strain curve and the ratio of ultimate strength to yielding strength of reinforcement steel and the corrosion rate. The comparative analysis of mechanical properties between rebars in atmospheric and marine environment is also presented. Simulation analysis of bars with different diameters and different corrosion pit is also carried out. Corrosion has less effect on the rebars with large diameter than small diameter. The shape and width of corrosion pit have no great effect on the strength of corroded rebars. The reason for the data scatter is analyzed at last.
