Point-supported glass buildings have gained increasingly wide use in China in recent years.Howerver,design formula for carrying capacities of metal connectors have not been forwarded.Besides,experimental and FEA research also indicate that connectors have great safety margins relative to glass boards so that optimization can be made.In this paper,Simplified design methods of connectors under main stress status are given based on theoretical,experimental and FEA analysis.Optimization methods are also given.
