Hengliong Plaza is 66 storeys made of pure reinforced concrete, 288m high, the tallest building in the world. This paper attempts to summarize the experience re lated to the design and construction, and the theory of superstructure-foundatio n interaction is used to analyze the settlement, the load distribution on pile gr oup and the stress in bottom slab of box foundation. The calculated values of set tlement is in reasonable agreement with the measured ones.
