  • Via bonding mechanism and experimental study, the necessity of exerting contact pressure to the bonding interface between fiber s heets and concrete was indicated. A convenient and practical construction techni que of hydraulic pad-exerting-pressure was proposed. An application of the pro posed method in the strengthening of roofing beams of a university library in So uth China was described.
