Abstract
Two reinforced concrete frames under cyclic horiz ontal loading were tested. One of which was strengthened with external prestress ing steel tendons. The effect of strengthening frame with external prestressing steel tendons on seismic ability was studied. A program using nonlinear FEM was coded to analyse that. The analytic result fit the experimental result well. Som e conclusions were gotten from that.
