STUDY ON MODAL IDENTIFICATION OF FRAME STRUCTURE UNDER AMBIENT EXCITATION

  • Modal parameter identification of frame structure s under ambient excitation is studied. To verify the effectiveness of natural ex citation technique and eigensystem realization algorithm (NExT/ERA), numeric sim ulation of an 8 storey model frame structure was carried out. During the simula tion, practical factors such as acceleration measuring, noise of sensors and num bers of sensors were accounted. It reveals that NExT/ERA is suitable for frame s tructures monitoring and diagnosis.
