The experimental research on the model of steel t russ with rectangular tube members for new terminal building of Chongqing Jiangb ei Airport is reported. The main truss and the lateral braces were simulated in the test. The results of linear finite element analysis match the experimental r esults well both in interior forces and deformations. It is also shown that the designed truss can meet the demands of capacities and stiffness. The further non linear analysis shows that lateral braces have obvious effects on bearing capaci ty of the main truss.
