Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre is one of the most important municipal projects of Shenzhen. The steel arch structure with double box-girde r s is used in the roof-structures. To decrease the horizontal acting forces on t he main-structure produced by arch self weight and to meet architecture requir ements, pre-arch and special construction technology are employed. The arch str u cture is hinged in one end and sliding in another during the assembling, and fin a lly it is totally fixed in both ends after the horizontal sliding is finished. F urthermore, lateral instability checking of the steel arch structure due to wind is done for the double box-girders in the first stage of construction. Finally ,an initial analysis of steel-bar used as tensile rod in the roof-struc tures is also conducted.
