  • Based on the expert systems for seismic evaluation of the reinforced concrete frames(ESSEF),effective strengthening of the reinforced concrete frames could achieve notable economic and social benefits.Because not only there are few experienced engineers in seismic engineering and the engineers have different levels,but also there are many factors to be considered and lots of methods to be adopted,the strengthening effects differ greatly.ESSEF which are based on the domain expert experiences could be used to efficiently strengthen the frames and make the difficult work of strengthening to be done more conveniently to comply with the requirements of earthquake fortification.
