MIXED VARIATIONAL SOLUTIONS OF TRANSVERSE ISOTROPIC FOUNDATION PLATES WITH ARBITRARY THICKNESS

  • According to the stress and displacement variational principles, the mixed variational equations are established,from which the state equation is obtained .Thus, the theory of state space is combined with variational solution .The foundation reaction as non-independent state variable is introduced in the expression of state equation, and the variational solutions are presented for transverse isotropic foundation plates with arbitrary thickness.Numerical results are compared with exact solutions, whose result is satisfactory .
