PREDICTION OF EXCESS PORE WATER PRESSURE RESULTED FROM STATIC PRESSED PILE AND TIME-DEPENDENT PILE ULTIMATE BEARING CAPACITY

  • Time and depth are adopted to analyse excess pore water pressure caused by static pressed pile in soft clay, and a 3D analytical formula is achieved. Based on the effective stress principle and according to dissipation of excess pore water pressure, consolidation of the clay around the pile and failure mode of pile- soil interface, an analytical solution to predict time- dependent ultimate bearing capacity of the driven pile is obtained. Results from the presented analytical solution are in agreement with those of the site tests.
