  • By discussing the methods of optimum design, a reasonable model for optimum design of piled raft foundation is set up in this paper. From the analyses, some optimum results are achieved. Furthermore, the design of piled raft foundation can be guided by the optimum results, and the potential advantage of optimum design can be exerted.
