Abstract
Through comparison and analysis on design and test results of two steel beam-to-column connections with cantilever beam splicing under cyclic-loading, it is pointed out that the slip between faying surfaces and the bearing of bolts to hole surfaces can be used to improve seismic behavior of the whole connection.Design suggestions based on test results are presented.
